Taste of the Nation Orlando raises $245,000 to fight childhood hunger!

Share Our Strength’s 24th Annual Taste of the Nation Orlando was a huge success this past Saturday, raising more than $245,000! As one of the local beneficiaries of the event, we can’t thank the Taste of the Nation committee, chefs, corporate sponsors, hosting venue Orlando World Center Marriott, volunteers, and guests enough.

Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida

Event committee co-chair Michele Byington, honorary chair Lucille O’Neal, and Coalition President/CEO Brent Trotter

Thousands of Central Floridians enjoyed delicacies prepared by 35 of Central Florida’s leading restaurants, bubbly and other beverages from top providers, live music, silent and live auctions, and a throwdown cook-off.

But beyond the great food and great drinks, the evening had a greater cause – feeding hungry children.

The impact of Taste of the Nation Orlando goes far beyond the memory of the evening. Coalition for the Homeless serves hundreds of homeless children every day. Providing these youngsters with nutritious meals will help ensure they reach their full potential!
