Not your regular golf tournament – May 18, 2009
Believe us: the Doug Spencer 13th Annual Golf Challenge is not your regular golf tournament.
How does the Golf Challenge work, you ask? We’ll fill you in:
This event is unique because golfers of all ability levels can enjoy the Challenge. When the event tees off on Monday, May 18, golfers will race around Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in individual carts. They will compete to see who can play the most holes in 6 hours (last year’s winner completed 112 holes). Golfers solicit pledges from friends, family and business associates and are asked to raise a minimum of $1,500. All funds raised benefit Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.
Did we mention that every golfer gets a prize? Prizes include one week’s accommodations at any worldwide Interval International resort, two roundtrip plane tickets to anywhere AirTran flies, a Sirius Satellite Radio with programming, an autographed Dwight Howard basketball, free rounds of golf, and many more. The top golfers get their pick of the lot, so we know they will play hard!
Want in on this exciting event? We are looking for event sponsors and a group of hearty golfers, so you are in luck.
